I have a new set of contacts to import to my SFMC for an email campaign. We have already reached our All Contact limit.
The new list has around 200k contacts.
So I will have to delete few existing contacts so that when the new import happens the all contacts count will not be too high and I already removed the hard bounces.
But then I will loose history of those contacts. What is a better way to do this?

- Are all these new contacts some which have opted in to campaigns (the list seems quite big)?
- Why are you importing them manually? You must maintain a system of record for their consent.
- If the contacts share the same contact key as your existing ones, they will not create duplicate/additional billable contacts.
I have so many questions to your way of working, before advising on how to solve the problem with overage on contacts. Normally you will have a quite stable volume of contacts which will increase gradually over time. If you suddenly bring 200k new records in, my alarm bells start ringing.
