Hello everybody,

we have MS Access databases that contain 2 years worth of data each. However, in Tableau, we want to look at the data over longer time spans (past 10 years).

The tricky part is that we want to use the same measures and basically use the data "as if it was one DB". The reason we have not merged the DBs is the size requirement (<2GB) on the side of MS Access, So I was hoping that we could accomplish this within Tableau with a join. If this is not possible we would have to set up a MySQL DB that would be able to handle larger data sets.

So far we have only been able to link the datasets but had to use different measures/pull in data into separate columns etc. So basically we were not able to "tell Tableau" that e.g. the sales data from each DB should be continuous.

Hopefully, I explained that well. Any help would be appreciated very much!

What format are the files coming out of SAP?

You could use something like Snowflake in the interim to get the data processed a lot quicker :)
