Tableau friends. I need a little help. I imagine this is pretty basic but the search I made really didn't yield an answer to what I want to do. I want to customize the field labels for both rows and columns.
ISSUE # 1: On the row level I want to change the name of the dimension to an alias name in all caps without having to rename the dimension itself
ISSUE # 2: On the columns level via edit axis I've created the alias names I want but I don't want them at the bottom of the axis....I want them at the top of the axis in the same level as the row field labels. Also I don't want any of the percentage values for the range. Just the alias names.
Can someone please show me how to accomplish both tasks?
Thanks!
1)You can Duplicate the dimension and then name that one whatever you want and replace it. I would need a workbook to take a look at your second issue.
2)If you are using the empty (0) calculated field hack then all you have to do is do is add a duplicate of the empty and dual axis it for each and then copy over the setting you have for the first one.
after that edit axis the bottom and delete the label and then on the tick marks part put bot options to none
