I'm trying to create an extract of my data source to speed performance. I've done this before in the past with no issues, but something is going wrong this time. Each time I try, it runs really really slow (the importing data message bar crawls along) and eventually fails with these error messages.

Stuff I'm reading online says it could be an issue with hdd space or memory? I have 34 GB free on hdd, so I don't think that is the issue. I'm checking task manager while the extract runs and it is maxing out on memory. I followed a tableau tutorial on how to clear the tableau cache, but that seems to have made no difference at all. Every time I try the extract, whenever it gets around 70k rows it goes over 90% usage on memory and then practically freezes. Issue is, my data source has roughly 800k rows.
Anybody seen this before? Know what to do to get around it?

The regions that I suggested were from the US Census. They have three different levels of detail available - try the 1:5m or 1:20m version? Those will be much simpler geometries.
