Setting current date as default in date parameter

Hi,

     As Setting current date as default in a Date Parameter is not possible(according to some posts in forum), I tried it with giving a Date Range Filter. As i have the latest date as the maximum range value in filter, but I am not able to keep the slider at the latest date. Every time i open the dashboard, the maximum date range filter will be at the last date when i have published it. For your reference I have uploaded a image of my problem. The Slider should be at latest date (i.e. the latest sales date). The slider's maximum range is now the last sales date, but the slider pointer is staying back at 29/6/2013. I need that also to be at the latest sales date.
