Hello,

I would like to create a pie chart and a % total from 1 column of a table.   The numerators for the slices of the pie cart or the total numerator should come from column "2026".

The denominator for the pie chart is 17,500,000.  I have tried many, many different approaches, but can't figure it out.

I have tried all the percentage and total functions.  Also, the pie chart in the "Show me" tool will not activate.    I have also tried creating various measures, but cannot get the totals to calculate from the table.  There must be a way to do it because I can see the total when I hover over the top of the column;  I can also calculate a total using the reference line tool.  Both update correctly when I change the group/year selections in the filter.

Make a pie chart and % total from a table column

Here is a link to the project I am working on.  Tableau Public   Thanks much for any forthcoming ideas...

not sure where the total of 17500000 comes from so i just typed it to the calculation and changed the year to 2026. Be sure to change the format to percentage.  Is this what you expect?
