I get a new Excel file everyday that I use to create reports. It's mostly same with some additions or deletions. Is there a way to connect the new file to the workbook without creating visualizations ?

You can,
1) Simply overwrite the Excel file with the new one, or
2) Edit Data Sources , and connect to the new Excel file, or
