Hello Tableau Gurus,
I have a dashboard where I am currently using the "RELATIVE DATE" filter where I have the option to select Years, Quarters, Months, Weeks, Days, etc. This allows for the dashboard to automatically select this week when someone opens it so they don't have to mess with the date fields.
However, I also want to give people the option to be able to choose their own date range. So if I wanted to select dates between last wednesday and today, I would select 4/15/2015 and 4/23/2015 but with the "RELATIVE DATE" filter, there is no ability to do that.
I Does anyone have any ideas on how this can be possible? or any other ways this was attempted? Thanks in advance.
To offer two different styles of Quick Filter for the same field, you need to Duplicate the field and set one of the two filters to operate on the duplicate (" (Copy) " ) field. Set both filters to Relevant values only.
Since you already have the Relative Date working, duplicate whatever date field you are using in your data source, and then set up a Date Range filter on the Copy.
