Hi Everyone,

I am an intern working on a location analytics project where I am using customer zip code wise concentration and transaction data to advise a optimum location for a retail branch.

I am looking at demographic data as well. However, anyone with much experience or knowledge in different angles and data sets i can look at using Tableau.  Any help or idea is highly appreciated.

Looking forward to all of your advices

OK, great. Depending on your "target customer" base, you may want to look at these economical pre-packaged for Tableau demographic data workbooks using 2014 ACS data at the census tract level. See: Data for Tableau — TGE Demographics Consulting -- They are national data sets but you can obviously zoom in to Phoenix and pan around. More typically, a bank will want to draw trade areas and pull up demographic reports per area. However, you can definitely look at some of the neighborhoods across Phoenix to get some ideas about where to recommend branch location.

    Best regards,

    Tom
