Extract failure notification

Hi Community,

I'm working on an approach for sending an email notification when an extract fails. Tableau does provide an standard alert on failures when logged into portal, but can we send an email to the publisher when the failure occurs?

Looking into the postgres is what i'm currently looking at. Wondering if anyone was able to figure out this.
