Hi,
I have read different posts about row level security for Tableau Server:
#1: User Filters and Row Level Security | Tableau Software
#2: Securing User Filters for Web Editing and Data Server | Tableau Software
#3: Tableau Q&A - Row-Level Security | InterWorks, Inc.
I'm wondering if I can also use row level security with Active Directory in my dashboards.
And if yes, how can I automate this for my dashboards?
Help is much appreciated!
Thanks
Jos
I'm not sure what you mean; or what specific aspect of this you are struggling with.
First, you'll need to configure your server to use AD for authentication. Have you done that yet? This may help you figure that part out:
Adding Active Directory Domains | Tableau Software
From there, its just a matter of choosing a row level security model that works for you.

If you've already chosen local authentication, you'll have to revisit your Server configuration to change to AD:

I hope this helps. If not, I'd suggest you contact support@tableausoftware.com as they should be able to get on the phone or set up a screen share with you and walk you through the process.
