Dear all,
I'm trying to assign 98 custom shape files of soccer club logos automatically. The names of the shape match a field in my dataset (team_id). Still the automatic assignment does not work correctly. Some clubs get the correct logo, other logos seem to be assigned randomly.
I've put the field "team_id" into rows, choose "shapes" as marker and put "team_id" there. You find the workbook attached to this post.
The names of the custom shapes are just the team-ids, e.g. t1.png
I've also attached a zip file containing the shapes as png files.
Any hints and help appreciated!

Tableau won't auto-match shapes to names. The best you can do is have the filenames and data source in the same order. That should work, but could still be off depending on how the filenames sort order is interpreted. For example, T20 and T192 could be interpreted as 20 is greater than 19, or 20 is less than 192.
Or you can try this idea if you are ok editing your twb file.
