Hi together,

I'm currently building a matrix which should be dynamically colored based on a parameter. E.g. I can select Sales, Quantity a calculated rating ... . I solved this using a parameter for selection of the color and a calculated variable, which references the measure based on the parameter.

This works fine. But having the Start/ Center / End to Automatic often leads to a misleading or non-sense coloring, since some values are far higher than others. Using Parameters to set the values works, but then I have to enter them either manually oder to use parameter action e.g. to set it to median and quartiles, select all the shown points in the chart. If I change the color parameter or a filter I have to do the same again.

Is there any way to avoid this? Using Variables instead of parameters would be great. Then the dashboard builder could define a suitable logic.

Attached an example with adjusted Super Store figures. On the automatic sheet you see, that the coloring is not meaningful. on the Parameter sheet, it's more meaningful, but needs to be updated either by selecting all dots or using Strg + A or manually adjusting the parameters.

Any suggestions are welcome :)

Best regards

Florian
