🚀 The Migration Path to the Next-Generation DevOps Center is coming to Dev Preview! 

For teams looking to transition from the managed package to our native platform experience, I am happy to announce that the new Migration Tool for the Next-Generation DevOps Center will be rolling out in Dev Preview over the upcoming weeks! 

To make this transition as frictionless as possible, we have integrated the migration experience directly into your UI. Once enabled (via Setup -> DevOps Center), you will find a dedicated Migration Card right on your Home tab in DevOps Center

. From there, a simple, guided setup wizard will walk you through the process! 

Here is how the migration experience works: 

• ✅ Selective Migration: You have full control to select exactly which Projects you want to migrate through the wizard.
• ✅ Configuration Sync: We automatically migrate your Projects and Pipeline Configurations (Note: for security, you will just need to quickly re-authenticate to your orgs and source control).
• ✅ Smart Work Item Mapping: Work items that are not in progress (New, Closed, Nevered) will migrate with their exact status. Work items currently active in the pipeline will be safely migrated with a "Pending Migration" status.
• ✅ Source Control Safety: Your underlying branches and commits in GitHub or Bitbucket remain completely untouched. The migration tool simply remaps your Next-Gen DevOps Center projects to your existing repository structure.

💡 Pro-Tip for a Seamless Move: We highly recommend a clean migration.

Try to complete your in-progress work items in the managed package pipeline first. However, we know releases cannot always wait! You can migrate today, continue working, and simply run the migration again later. If a "Pending Migration" item is completed in your old pipeline, your next migration sync will automatically update its status to complete in the Next-Gen DevOps Center. Rest assured, your org, projects, and work items will remain completely intact in the managed package, so none of your historical records are ever deleted.
