📣 Field Service Mobile 260.0 Major Release Beta Rollout - Android & iOS [1/14/26] 📣

Hello Trailblazers!

The Spring ’26 260.0 Major Release beta goes live today for both iOS and Android. The beta period will last ~30 days and we expect to begin GA on 3/4/26. This release can only be used on Sandbox Spring ’26 orgs.

Here is the link to the release notes. A few key updates:

  • Enhanced Data Capture Tools:
    • Lookup Component: Improve form accuracy by searching and selecting records like assets or products directly in forms, even while offline.
    • Multi-Image Preview: Provide workers with complete visual context by previewing multiple related site images directly within Data Capture forms.
    • Expanded Access: Launch Data Capture forms directly from assets, custom objects, and mobile timesheets to centralize your work processes.
  • Data Capture Voice to Form (GA): Workers can now focus on their tasks while using natural voice dictation to automatically transcribe and populate form fields.
  • Native GIS Mapping: View and interact with complex map data—including assets, lines, and polygons—directly within the app, even when offline.
  • Improved Startup Visibility: Real-time progress updates on loading stages during app startup eliminate guesswork for mobile workers.
  • Revamped Work Order Overview & Record Edit Page (Android): Following the successful release of the new Work Order Overview on iOS in version 258, we are thrilled to bring this modernized experience to Android in 260! The revamped interface allows each tab and card to load independently, helping mobile workers find critical information faster and with fewer taps.

We Need Your Feedback!

We encourage any and all feedback! Here’s a document with recommendations on how to test our beta builds. Here’s a document on details for providing feedback—please raise any critical issues immediately with Salesforce support. We are particularly interested in your feedback regarding the Revamped Work Order Overview on Android.

Note: We deploy major and patch releases over several days to ensure stability. The updates aren’t necessarily available for all users until 7 days after the app becomes generally available.
