Help with error code

Question

I have the error code: Unknown exception: 1832 with an OAuth Client Credentials - any ideas of what to do? We have verified the OAuth Client Secret Configuration and are not using a proxy

we had same issue.  Resolved by adding 'Manage user data via APIs (api)' to the 'Selected OAuth Scopes' in the connected app

For anyone having trouble finding the  Selected OAuth Scopes  section, it's likely because you're on a different edit page. Editing an app through "App Manager" and "Manage Connected Apps" gives entirely different options. The section in  @Mark Cowley https://trailblazers.salesforce.com/profileView?u=005KX000003cREjYAM 's screenshot is accessed through Setup > Apps > App Manager > click the dropdown next to the affected app and select Edit.
