I am trying to add a very simple custom action to summarise opportunities by account. I have a prompt setup. Whenever I create a custom action and add it to the copilot it breaks the entire copilot. Once the custom action is added any input (related to my custom action or otherwise) results in "Something went wrong". Looking in the event log I see "Intent detection failed".
Has anyone successfully added a custom action? If so what were the action instructions?
I'm essentially seeing the same result - the planner is calling the custom action but errors out.
A couple trouble shooting ideas:
- I do believe the action likely needs to be on the opportunity object and not on the account object.
- Another path to try is to remove the flow and see if that causes an issue (although that didn't resolve the issue in my SDO).
I have however had other custom actions work in copilot.
Lastly, one good troubleshooting tip is to see if the prompt template works directly on a field vs in copilot to help isolate the issue.
