Hi! I want to use the active user as a filter (User.name) from a salesforce Object, into a CRMA Data asset that has the same user information.

I don't need to join the objects (if that helps), I just need to pass the result of User.Name as a variable/parameter into a query for a table. I will use the table to set default values into the global filters.

Thank you in advance

You can either add a filter by a user, and paste the start value token instead of the user name

Or my preferred solution is to add a user picker to the dashboard, set a start value to a user, open it's JSON in the advaced IDE, and paste the start value token to replace the user name, then if this facets, it will affect all queries on the dashboard and the user can change the selection to another user if needed.
