Hello Trailblazers,
I am looking for some guidance on career changes. I was laid off this past March from the hospitality industry and I have decided to take this opportunity to change careers. I was introduced to SF by a friend of my wife and I fell in love with the platform and the incredible community I saw built around of it. I have to admit this change is scary. I know I could go back to my previous job in a couple of months, but I decided to walk away from a 6 figure job to do something I love rather than be a slave for $.
That being said, can anyone tell me their experience finding jobs as SF Admin without previous user experience and only the certification? I do have years of experience on client relations ship, managing completion of projects, negotiating contracts and things of that nature, but I only have in SF what I am learning now.
How did you find your first job as an admin if you didn't have previous user experience?
I appreciate your time and feedback.
Thank you everyone for your feedback. I am now registered for Certification Days towards the end of August, I am in the @Jobs for Salesforce group and looked into Copado. Will dig a little deeper next. Now I need to look for a local group.
If there is anything else you can think of to help me along the way, I will appreciate it.
