Hello: My organization just started setting up GAU allocations, and my question is can you set up so that i can specify an allocation to a program activity and to a specific year... For example, i know GAU allows me to allocate a donation to a different program activities (see pic 1). But can i also tag a donation to spread over certain years as seen in second example (see pic 2) ? I guess i'm asking if there is a time dimension we can add to GAU allocation ... Any help on this would be greatly appreciated !
I have also been trying to do this @Lily Le - to use GAUs to allocate income in one opportunity over more than one year (to the same GAU or project). The GAU's can Can be allocated to more than one GAU but one GAU cannot be allocated to many dates. like @Michael Brown Suggested I added a date the allocation is for and used a another field calculate the year that the allocation is for but but I'm struggling to use the same GAU to allocate the opportunity over three years for example. Seems an obvious thing to ask without having to create an opportunity for every year you want to allocate the original lump of income too.... humph
