I'm struggling to figure out how we can disable email notifications when a new task is assigned to someone. 'Enable User Control over Task Assignment Notifications' is ticked in our org's Activity Settings, and I've seen this post about disabling it at a user level. However, if I go to My Settings and the 'Calendar & Reminders' section, there is no 'Activity Reminders' option visible as the post describes. Is it me? Is it Salesforce? My bet is it's me, but any help would be much appreciated.

No - that hasn't worked I'm afraid. Tried that too. It should definitely be available in Lightning - that post I referenced has a screenshot of it, and I've seen a YouTube video of it being accessed. It's just not visible to us for some reason.
