Hi ! I need help with validation rule - all my attempts were unsuccessfull
On Account Object i have a roll-up summary field which calculates total sum of percentage from child records. I need a rule that will not allow to be Total grater than 100%
Example:
Child record 1 - weighting 30%
Child record 2 - weighting 50%
Child record 3 - weighting 20%
Roll up on Account = 100% (30+20+50).
When i will change Child record from 30 to 50 i want to see validation and not be able to increase weighting?
Percents fields have their own data type—a number with a percent sign attached. A Percent is stored as a number divided by 100, meaning that 100% is represented as 1 and 90% as 0.9, and so on.
So you can use the following validation formula on the Account

ISCHANGED(Cancer_Segment_Total_Weighting__c),
Cancer_Segment_Total_Weighting__c > 1
