We have experienced tons of issues with both the data sync and the clearing of metadata cache on the SFS app.

Issue 1: Data are not syncing after changes are made in the browser. Example: We updated the location of an asset to the technician's inventory location. After the technician does a data sync, the asset still does not appear in the flow record listing. We've tried running the data sync multiple times; swiping out of the app and returning; clearing the metadata cache; logging out of the app and back in. The only thing that works is to delete the app and reinstall it. Then everything looks perfect.

It's not always consistent behavior. The production users are seeing these same inconsistencies. It seems to be a dice roll on whether the data get updated. Are there reasons why the Data Sync button would not fully revise the data?

We've seen this through the app on iOS and Android and in both our partial sandbox and production instances.

Issue 2: We cannot seem to consistently get metadata changes down to the app. We are making changes to flows and subflows, but when the technician clears their metadata cache, the changes aren't always there. They often have to run the cache clear multiple times, swipe out of the app, or log back in.

This behavior has proven quite frustrating for users and developers alike. Any help you can offer is appreciated. I attached a screenshot of the data in the browser and the data in the mobile app.  Thank you!

Please check the version of the Field Service you are running it may be not a good version, Check with Salesforce Support. I have the same experience as yours and because of the old version we are running it only works with uninstalling and installing the App.

Also regarding the sync between Disktop and the device, Make sure if you are running Android Devices to check the Device Settings >> System>>Date & Time and make sure the Use Network Provided Time and Use Network provided time zone is turned On
