#WonderWomanWednesdays is where we talk as a community about the awesome things we are doing (or working toward) to encourage, inspire, and/or lead other women down the path to becoming #WonderWomenInTech (be it small, medium or large accomplishments/triumphs!)

What things are you doing (or working toward) to encourage, inspire, and/or lead other women down the path to becoming #WonderWomenInTech?

So last week I mentioned that I was going to start training @Joni Bryan's mom on Salesforce this past weekend (Saturday). So the first thing I did was get her setup with a dev org so she could access #Trailhead . Then I walked her through my standard SF intro - covering everything from My Profile, My Settings, the Home tab, Chatter, and then going into how you extend Salesforce functionality using Objects. Then I walked her through the ease of reporting and dashboards and the ability to schedule reports. We then decided to test the waters of her dev org by creating our first object specific to a Design Center app. SUCCESS! She is super excited with what she saw, how quickly things could be built, and how fast she was able to adopt Salesforce functionality based on her own needs and vision. What made my day is when she said, "You know, Kari...I really need to get my processes together so you can better understand what it is I am looking to do with this idea of mine. And I will focus on learning the basics of Salesforce so I can not only walk the walk but talk the talk." 🙂
