I am developing a Contact Us flow for our website. Each DML-operation of a flow is a subflow that runs in system context without sharing. Everything works fine in debug mode run by site guest user, but when I try it on a test site, the flow fails at task creation. I tried running the parent flow in system context without sharing too, this has no effect obviously.
The owner assigned to the task is a real org user, not site guest user. Site guest user profile has Access Activities enabled AND has access to Task fields I'm using.
I've read that tasks cannot be owned by site guest user, but I should be able to create them, nonetheless, shouldn't I? Please help and thanks in advance.

Within the site I'm assuming you've already specified the Default Record Owner ?
There is a similar issue noted here but not with any workaround that's been proven currently
