We have a SharePoint hosted Application which is installed from office store independently, iGlobe CRM Office 365. All data are kept in SharePoint list which is different from one tenant to another. For visualization we would like to make a Power BI app that will be avilable at AppSource for download. We can create PBIT template with query parameter in Power BI (https://mindmajix.com/power-bi-training" target="_blank) Desktop. However it is not serving our purpose. We want to publish the app in the Power BI appsource store making it easy to get and configure agains the users app on any given tenant.
To do that the user will be required to enter their tenant URL (app url) the first time they run the app. the App will then get the data from their tenant and show the visualization accordingly.
The problem we are facing, is how do we develop this in the App? We have looked at some of the app avilable like QuickBooks, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics and so on. When adding one of these apps the first thing that happens is a popup open allowing to enter a url or other connection data. How du we build this?
One difference that we can see is that those application is hosted application where data is centralized but in our case it is distributed data and different from one tenant to another and there is no relation with each other.
I will appreciate if you can share some thoughts or references so that we can carry on our development
