1. showing how quickly the sales guys are closing their opportunities . I have been able to pull out the closed date&created date but cant get the formula bar to do the calculation for me. The date feilds do not appear in the formular screen.
2. Showing how many days old an opportunity is

There is a standard Age field you can use in reports. Use the quick find bar to locate it. This will tell you ow old the opportunities are.
