How to create a custom field with additional fields

Question

I'm trying to create a field/object within the accounts page called Reporting Classification. I basically want this field/object to have additional feilds where I can store information relating to the object. An example is below for Dimension 2

1. This is what Dimension 2 field looks like on the front page

2. Detail behind Dimension2 (it has additional feilds ie Reporting code, Dimension2 Group etc)

Please how can I achieve this same configuration for a field I'd like to create on the accounts page

This is a lookup field linked to a custom object. You would need to create the custom object first and then create a lookup field on the account object to your custom object.

Hi Temitayo,   I would agree with Tim, separate object will allow you to do so. If you are using it for other objects (not only Accounts) you may want to have a think on how could you scale it.   As well, in line with the question. Have you heard of Trailhead? (is the fun! and free way to learn salesforce) There is an admin trail that covers quite a bit on foundations so you get a strong architecture base. check it ou  https://trailhead.salesforce.com   Hope this helps,   Ines
