'how to pull values into lookup field from parent field'?

I have two objects name 'Tracker' and 'Maintainence' and the 'Tracker' object has a lookup field 'User' which pulls values from a field 'Manager' from the 'Maintainence' object? How can I populate the values in the user field as I dont see the option to select the SD manager field while creatring the lookup field?

    Hi Svi,

     

    There is no standard way to refer parent's lookup field while creating child lookup field. One way is to update the child field from process builder on parent object whenever the parent field is updated.
