Hello! I'm having issues with restricting an integration-specific user from seeing Person Accounts and only see certain record types.  We are a B2B and B2C shared org. The integration user still sees Person Account despite restricting in the settings.

I'm trying to restrict the integration so that it only sees:

  • Account record type (NOT Person Account record type)
  • B2B Contact record type (we have both B2B and B2C record types set up in the org, with the Person Accounts creating contacts that are NOT B2B Contact record type)
  • B2B Opportunity record type (we have both B2B and B2C record types set up in the org, with each Account record type utilizing the correct opportunity record type)

I created a profile with limited access and assigned that to the integration user. The user is assigned the top level role for the B2B group (there is a separate hierachy for B2C). The profile object settings are:

  • Account - Read and Edit only, record type set to Account only (Person Account is not selected)
  • Contact - Read and Edit only, record type set to B2B record type only (B2C record type is not selected)
  • Opportunity - Read only only, record type set to B2B record type only (B2C record type is not selected)

Additionally, I have checked the org wide defaults and the Sharing Settings. The sharing settings for Account and Contract are set to Private.  Under Account, there are rules to restrict the B2B hierarchy to Is Person Account = False and the reverse for B2C hierarchy.  I have tried using Is Person Account and alternatively using the Account Record Type in the fitlers with no change (the integration still sees Person Accounts).

I'm sure I'm missing something, and I have pored through the Salesforce documentation and haven't found what I'm missing.
