We recently enabled enchace email support and are now adding emails to SF via Lightning for Gmail plugin.
Adding emails seems to work well. However, if a user relates an email to the wrong record (i.e. wrong account or wrong case, etc), we have not been able to figure out how to edit the relation of the email message record.
We are able to change the relation of other tasks associate with the same accounts. So perhaps there is something misconfigured for Tasks vs Email Messages?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It appears that outbound email messages cannot be edited when enhanced email is enabled as per the article below:
