However, I'm not getting my node-red instance to connect to Salesforce. Is there anyone that can walk me through the Salesforce setup and user rights configuration, even if it is on a consultation basis?

I think the blog mentions node-red-contrib-salesforce, not node-salesforce.
Could you show me how to connect Salesforce and Node-RED by using
node-red-contrib-salesforce. With node-red-contrib-salesforce, things seems
to me more simple.
