The need is for end users to do basic image manipulation in Salesforce of images that will eventually be attached to records. These are NOT Salesforce1 users. This is not limited to administrators
I had hoped from an option from the app exchange but am coming up blank. The only two ideas I have at the moment, are iframe a third party service that permits this and train the users to edit their images and then upload, or get some custom code worked up using something like darkroomjs (http://mattketmo.github.io/darkroomjs/). I really don't like the first option, and I don't have time or resources for the second.
Ideas?
