Thats is bascially what i want to create/convert the standard field to be. But it needs to be editable too. which for obvious reasons causes issues. I have seen a few work around by creating a button next the field via JavaScript.
Just wondering if anyone has found an elegent/simple solution to this.

The best solution I found was asking the provider for a web dialer plugin :)
