How to prevent user create new lead and account by themselves

Right now every users have ability to create new account and lead, that creates lots trobles in the organization. Since i am the administrator, I spent few hours on that but still can't find anything. I basically just want the user have functiong to edit the content. I will be the only who can import/add new leads and account. By the way, i am ok with all other users to CONVERT any lead to account.

    Helena,

     

    you can go to the users profile and remove the Create permission for Leads under object settings.

     

    Go to Setup -> Manage Users -> Profiles

     

    Select Your Users Profile

     

    Click on Object Settings

     

    Click on Lead

     

    Click on Edit

     

    Under Object Permissions section, disable Create..
