then I goto the specify Filter and try First Name what should the operator field be and how do I send to A-G or A,G on so on to keep the number below the 250

First Group:
First Name LESS THAN H
Second Group:
First Name GREATER OR EQUAL H
AND First Name LESS THAN O (or whatever)
Third Group:
First Name GREATER OR EQUAL O
You can add more groups as needed by repeating the second group and adjusting the letters accordingly.
