I just posted question related to $RecordType variable. Following are the details.

Is $RecordType variable still valid? Can I use $RecordType in validation rules?

Is $RecordType variable still valid? Can I use $RecordType in validation rules? As I already reached the maximum number of 10 object references on Object, so I have only option to use $Recordtype.DeveloperName instead of RecordType.DeveloperName(Refereence field). Shall I proceed further to use the $RecordType variable is Validation rules? Is there any discrepancies? As I came to know, it is depreciated and also mentioned that avoid to use the $Recordtype in formulas.

Could you please guide me.
