My Lead View, Mass Email View, and Report View do not return the same counts even with identical filters and logic. One of the fields was imported with multiple options in the field. Some Examples below.  We are using enterprise classic and the mass email lead tool in Salesforce.  I researched several articles that make me think it's the multiple field options but nothing showing a work around. I am a admin by default, I'm not a dev, or wizard, so any help - insight would be greatly appreciated! I'm exhausted from trying so many different ways to come up with 3 exact numbers all weekend that my eyeballs are killing me :(

Hi everyone!

I recently triggered a process builder that sends an email (created with classic email templates) to the preferred email on the contact but the request's status is what triggers the process builder. Anyways, I was wonder if there was a way to see more email statistics? I can see that it triggered when I go to the activities/tasks on the request record. But I want to see more information such as deliverability. Any idea if I can do that?

    Hey Jenna,

Have you enabled Email Tracking in Salesforce?

If not, check out this article on how to do that:

Dear Architects,

Polling this group to see if anyone has implemented any solution for sending more than 5000 emails from Salesforce core CRM?

To keep it simple, all I am looking for is to send mass emails to send more than 5000 emails per day,  by selecting records from a custom object.

Not really looking for a proper email marketing solution

Here are the solution options that I have discovered so far.

Solutions offered by Salesforce

  1. Marketing Cloud
  2. Pardot

The cost is a bit high for using these solutions, so these options are not really under consideration at this moment.

Solutions on AppExchange

  1. Mass Mailer
  2. iContact - Based on my understanding of this solution, this requires a campaign to be created, which is not ideal for our use case.

Has anyone used this or any other solution from AppExchange? Will you be able to share your experience?

API Based Solutions

  1. GMail API
  2. Amazon Simple Email Service
  3. Twilio Sendgrid

Have you used this or any other solution using APIs? Any insights on how that worked for you?

Please raise a case with Salesforce support. Explain your usecase. If they find your usecase valid, they will surely raise the limit.

Hello! Can anyone share with me how their sales users are able to use the mass email sends for transactional purposes? Essentially, we are using the standard 'email opt out' field to record when someone hasn't opted into marketing emails. As we are entitled to contact someone for a transactional email, or an email with legitimate business interest even if they didn't opt in to marketing emails, how is the best way to do this en masse? For a bit of background:

  • We are lightning users.
  • Mass sends using Lists and Campaigns all honour the email opt out check box.
  • We have Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud.
  • Our sales users do NOT use Marketing Cloud.
  • We have Marketing Cloud Connect, but before exploring using that, I wanted to see what our options are with just Sales Cloud.
  • Unlike Marketing Cloud, Sales Cloud does not have a standard transactional/commercial send classification (I believe).
  • We are based in the UK, but we have global offices and global customers, and are aware of our regional obligations.

Hope the above helps with context!

Thanks

Kirsty

Ciao a tutti,

Grazie

Hello,

I'm wondering if its possible to update content on an email marketing campaign that has already been deployed.

Specifically, I would like to extend a promo's expiry date in the copy. Our company has already deployed the email, but I'm wondering if I update the content in Pardot, will it automatically update the already sent mass email? Or do I have no choice but to resend another mass email.

Thanks

    Hi @Kamil lotia

it depends whether you are sending this campaign as a list email or through Engagement Studio.

List email: no, once it is sent, it cannot be changed once it is delivered to the recipient's inbox.

Engagement studio: you can edit the email templates that the program is using, and those changes will be reflected immediately. Any prospects that get to that email step later on will receive the updated email copy (previous prospects will still have the previous copy sitting in their inbox).

    Hope that helps.

looking for some help!

I have in past had no issues sending mass emails through salesforce. However, today I was trying to send an email to a few select individuals while filtering with roles and I received this message telling me that the email content size was too big. This is confusing to me as I sent the exact same email two days back and I was just following up with those who I forgot to send the mass email to. So there should be no reason why I am receiving this message telling me my email content is too big and that it will cut off part of the email if I was to send it via mass email. Luckily it was only 8 individuals so I just sent the email individually but that defeats the whole point of being set up on salesforce in the first place (to eliminate tasks as such).

Looking for insight as to why this might be and if I need to change any settings on my part to not receive this message in the future. I have attached a screenshot of the message I received.

Does the new release feature enable mass email to filter with both account and contact fields? I.e. like classic?

@Sunny Ko That's correct. You can create a Contact list view that is filtered based on information from the Account object. Previously, you had to create a report first, export it, and then load it into a campaign. Much easier now!
