Hello,

I have set up the Enhanced Field History Tracking. I mapped it to a custom object I built and have set up the flow but it currently is not creating the records in the custom object I built. I am not sure were the error is.

Hello.

Where do I find trailhead courses to help study and prep for the Salesforce Admin Exam? Also, practice tests?

Thank you,

Nancy

    Hi ,

    Try changing the playground language setting to English.

    (If it doesn't work with just the playground language setting, additionally set your browser language to English and turn off automatic translation.)

    Try the below steps to change your language:

    1. Launch your playground and Click the profile image and then click the first option(settings).
    2. It goes to the personal information page
    3. Click on Language and time zone
    4. Change the Language and Locale to English
    5. So that the playground language will be changed to English

I have basic bar graph that can be filtered to different subsets (e.g. different US states). I need to show labels with two significant figures, which I do using a calculated field and setting the number format on the value field to 'Number (Standard)'. This works, except that values that should be X.0 are showing as X (one significant figure rather than two). Other tenths-place values appear fine. So 4134 is correctly showing as 4.1k, but 1950 is incorrectly showing as 2k. The 1950 should show as 2.0k.

Why is this happening and how can I fix it?

Simplified packaged workbook attached, as well as screenshot showing the issue (as occurs for 'Special-use areas' when only Arkansas is selected).

    Thanks for the response! I didn't know about [scale] and that will be very useful in many contexts.

    However, neither of the solutions you proposed here will get me the required two significant digits. Your first suggestion results in e.g. 530.0 which is four significant digits. Your second has similar issues e.g. 18.4 is three significant digits. And the other issue there is that I strongly prefer to use B rather than the G that [scale] uses (billion thousand acres is bad but giga thousand acres is worse).

    I thought that the behavior of Round should get me the 3.0 etc. that I'm looking for. Is there a reason it does not?

I am using trial org with omnistudio inbuilt and hence on standard runtime. I am not able to import the omnistudio related packages in my .js file , for example import OmniscriptDate from 'omnistudio/OmniscriptDate' gives error to me.   I have a requirement to use a custom lwc for a date validation, now I am able to the validation perfectly but not able to pass the data from LWC to omniscript. I have tried Custom events as well. Below is the code snippet:      sendValueToOmniScript(valueToSend) {

        console.log('sent value1',valueToSend);

        const payload = {

            elementId: 'SinceWhen',

            SinceWhen: valueToSend,

            omniJsonData: {

                SinceWhen: valueToSend

            },

            SinceWhen: { value: valueToSend }

        };

        console.log('payload',JSON.stringify(payload));

        this.dispatchEvent(new CustomEvent('omniaggregate', {

            bubbles: true,

            composed: true,

            detail: payload

        }));

    }

Anybody else picked up that the unit  Set Up a Marketing Cloud Next Campaign within the Campaign Optimization with Flows in Marketing Cloud Next module is missing information, within the Define the Audience

section, from point 5 onwards?

I haven't tried to complete it yet and submit to check the challenge.  Any pointers?

I have raised a case too!

    I ran into this kind of issue while following online tutorials too. Sometimes a missing step can make the whole task confusing. Hopefully someone can share the missing details or confirm whether the module has been updated.

Dear Fellow Trailblazers,

For the following trailhead unit "Build a Segment and Report" under "Explore Data 360 Core Functionality" Badge,

https://trailhead.salesforce.com/content/learn/projects/explore-data-cloud-core-functionality/build-a-segment-and-report?trail_id=data-cloud-explore-setup-to-activation

I'm stuck on step 7 - 9

Data 360 badge question -

When I search "Is US Based", I got the following:

1. For a starter, I don't see a "Lead Category" on the screen

 2. I don't see "

Lead.Party > Party.Individual > Unified Individual.Unified Individual Id.

" in container path

 3. What's "Container Object Name"? It's not specified in the instructions

What did I do wrong?

Hi everyone,

I've posted on the Impact Exchange hoping to get some assistance with this, but I also wanted to ask the community to get more eyes on my problem. I am to the point of overthinking this problem to the point that I can't make a decision to move forward. Essentially I am having trouble figuring out how to accurately report on major donors who give through multiple entities — their household plus one or more personal businesses/LLCs — in NPSP. I'm trying to get an accurate combined giving for the primary contact without breaking lapsed-donor reporting or requiring a lot of manual upkeep. Curious what's worked for others (Account Hierarchy, Contact-level rollups, something else). I am having trouble make soft credit work for my needs.

Here is the description of my Impact Exchange project for more context:

neverthirst is a nonprofit running on Salesforce NPSP (Household Account model), with a growing base of major donors who give through multiple entities — their personal household account plus one or more owned businesses (LLCs, foundations, etc.), sometimes four or five per person. We need to reliably report each donor's total giving across every entity they touch, for major-donor stewardship, lapsed-donor tracking, and Top-Donor reporting — without a donor falsely showing as "lapsed" just because they gave through a different business account than last year.

I've prototyped two approaches and want an outside expert to pressure-test the direction and help us build it out properly: (1) NPSP Account Hierarchy, with businesses as child accounts under a household parent, rolled up via custom fields — functional, but dependent on manually maintaining the hierarchy every time a donor's business gives for the first time, and it breaks down when two people co-own the same business and both need full credit. (2) A Primary Contact + soft/hard credit model using NPSP's native rollup fields — less manual maintenance, but a bigger restructuring effort.

Looking for someone with hands-on NPSP experience specifically with multi-entity/household+business donor attribution, who can help us pick (or improve) an architecture, build the supporting rollups and reports, and leave us with documentation our (small, non-technical) team can maintain going forward. Comfortable with an iterative, hands-on engagement rather than a one-time consult — this needs someone in the weeds with us.

    One of the things we do for this is create custom rollups with NPSP rollups. We often coach clients to divide their household-level view into three types of giving calculations: Hard Credits, "True" Soft Credits, and Other Influence.

    Hard credits are straightforward. We define "true" soft credits (this is just our internal language) as situations where it's the donor's money coming through an account they don't directly control/in a way that means the tax receipt comes from another entity but not your organization. Then any other types of roles are separate.

    We just divide out the rollups based on role on the OCR. So Donor = Hard Credit, Soft Credit = "True" Soft Credit, anything else except Household Member = Influence. Then we update the existing filters so that all existing Soft Credit/SC fields are only looking at the "Soft Credit" role. And we add fields so that other types of influence can be tracked in separate calculated fields on the household level. (You could also roll them up on the individual contact level in NPSP, but we typically coach clients that using the household as the primary giving unit is best practice.)

    Here's an example of what this would look like:

    • I give $100 in a check from my personal checking account. The account on the gift is my household, and I'm the primary contact. I'm auto-added with the Donor role, and that's $100 in hard credits for my household.
    • My husband donates $100 through his Fidelity DAF. The DAF is the account on the gift, and my husband is the primary contact. His OCR has the "Soft Credit" role that we've dedicated to this use case. (We run an automation to update the role if the account on the gift is marked as a DAF with a custom checkbox.) That's $100 in soft credits for our household.
    • Then I write another check from my business for $100. My business is the account, and I'm the primary contact since I signed the check/own the business. I'm added to the gift with a "Decision Maker" role (or some other role, as these are easy to customize). That's $100 in influence credits for my household.
    • So if all this takes place in the same year, the household's rollups would look something like:
      • Total Gifts This Year - $100
      • Total Amount Soft Credits This Year - $100
      • Total Amount Influence This Year - $100

    You can easily make this more nuanced if you want. Some of our orgs use one role for decision makers, where someone is directly making the decision about a gift but where the money isn't from their personal account (a business owner, someone who directs a family foundation, etc.) and a different role for solicitors. It's just building out the fields and rollups in Salesforce.

Laura Arana ha fatto una domanda in DevOps Center

Hi!

I'm attempting to migrate from DevOps Center (Managed Package) to the next-generation DevOps Center (Developer Preview) and I'm stuck. Hoping someone has run into this or can point me in the right direction.

Setup:

  • Enabled "DevOps Center Migration (Developer Preview)" toggle in Setup — accepted terms, toggle shows Enabled.
  • Disabled "DevOps Center Managed Package" and enabled "DevOps Center" (next-gen) to proceed. (I had to disable the package to enable the new DevOps Center)
  • Triggered migration from the managed package app (accidentally clicked "Migrate" twice).

What happened:

  • Activity History in the managed package shows two entries: DOAL-000000001 and DOAL-000000002, both Activity Type: "Migration Started", Status: SUCCESS.
  • However, I don't see the migrated project ("Fulcrum - Salesforce DevOps Center") appearing anywhere in the next-gen DevOps Center app.
  • Neither I nor the project owner (who also has admin access) can find a way to check detailed migration progress beyond "Migration Started / SUCCESS" — there's no further status like "Completed" or "Failed" that we can find.

Questions:

  1. Does "Migration Started - SUCCESS" just mean the job kicked off, or does it mean it actually completed successfully?
  2. Is there a way to see more granular migration progress/logs?
  3. Could triggering the migration twice (due to a double-click) cause any issue — duplicate processing, conflicts, etc.?
  4. Roughly how long does migration typically take for a project with ~250 work items and 2 pipeline stages?

Any guidance — especially from anyone who has completed this migration already — would be hugely appreciated. Happy to open a support case too, but wanted to check here first since this is Developer Preview.

Thanks in advance!

    Hi @Laura Arana, could you help us by asnwering the following questions:

    1. Did you selected that specific process in the Migration wizard?
    2. Could you verify if the data migration was successful? you can check in Setup -> Bulk Data Load Jobs.
    3. If it was completed successfully, could you check in Next-Gen DevOps Center -> Projects -> "All DevOps Projects" under the list view?

    The migration process should be fairly quick. Happy to schedule a call to review further and guide you through the process.
