I have started studying for SF admin exam and almost finished exam prep trailmix, took me one month. I am planning to continue studying and preparing for exam for another 2 months and then take exam. Prior to these studies and preparations, I didn't have any SF experience.
But this requirement mentioned in "Get Started with Administrator Certification Prep" makes me less confident going to exam. I didn't have any IT experience neither, only 17 years working in planning and supply chain using ERP softwares.
Is it really necessary to have experience working in SF prior to talking exam? Also, how can i find SF job without having certificate....i think it's a loop?! #Salesforce #Admin Exams #Salesforce Admin #Trailhead Challenges #Certifications #Jobs

The 6 months is only a guide line, i think Salesforce would rather over-egg the estimate based on the majority of people. If you are doing lots of revision, using all the right materials, it can be done in a lot less. I have coached people to pass it in 1 month, but this will require intense revision.
For the majority of casual revision (1 hour a day) 6 months is accurate, obviously the more intense, you can bring it down to ~2 months. Hope this helps, if you need any assistance with revision and pointing in the right direction for revision materials just message me.
