#Predictive Response0 debatiendo

Hi All, My organization is looking to switch Email Marketing services from Constant Contact to something that integrates better with Salesforce so we do not have to manage our email lists separately from our database. We would like to be able to schedule drip campaigns, segment our lists, and do some A/B testing, etc. Has anyone used Predictive Response, or Emma and could provide some feedback on their experience? Services like ExactTarget and Pardot are too expensive for us but we are looking for something more advanced than MailChimp and Constant Contact.

It's worth looking into campaign monitor. It's automations are limited but it can do drip campaigns. It integrates well with Salesforce. Active campaign is a cheap option with amazing automations. Not so great beige integration (unless you use pie sync)

I'm on the development team at a mid-sized nonprofit. We are looking for a way to close the loop between Click&Pledge, Pardot, and Salesforce. Ideally, we would love to know where people come from when they donate to us, and group them under a campaign in Salesforce. So, if we send out a solicitation email (from Pardot, using on a dynamic list created with Salesforce fields), and they click on the link to donate in that email, we’d like their donation to be linked to the campaign for that specific solicitation email in Salesforce. Right now, because the email is sent from Pardot and the payment is processed through Click & Pledge, we don’t know how to do this. Is there a way to automatically link donations to campaigns in Salesforce based on donors' response to solicitation emails? Thanks!

    @Kamran Razvan

Not sure how this would apply to this specific problem. How does this connect to Pardot? I'm not a developer, so I might be missing something. If you could walk me though how we would use this to close the loop, that would be helpful. Thanks!

Hi there! We are looking to integrate our social media platforms in salesforce.

We do recruitment for Fellows and we use #PredictiveResponse for our email campaigns but we also use #Facebook #LinkedIn #Twitter and want to make sure that we are using one central communications strategy for outreach for all of this.

We are also a small non-profit.

Does anyone have any recommendations for products?

Thanks so much and looking forward to hearing from you!

Hello,

We use Salesforce to coordinate communication for both prospective and current students in our non-semester CBE programs. We use ActOn for most of our prospective student marketing, and find it serviceable. However, our needs for current students are very different and ActOn doesn't seem to be a good fit.

Current students require some emails to be triggered immediately based on data events in the system, as well as scheduled emails relative to the beginning of subscription periods or other arbitrary dates. This is a hard fit for ActOn, which essentially runs campaigns off of lists. Additionally, ActOn adds an unsubscribe link to all emails which is unsuitable for communications with registered students.

We've handled some of these requirements with Process Builder Flows triggering Email Alerts and Apex methods using the built-in Messaging class. However, this is very time-consuming to develop on a one-off basis. (Not to mention the looming limitation on outgoing emails from Salesforce.)

Has anyone had success using an AppExchange (or otherwise integrated) email tool for this variety of communication with students? Have you found a tool that isn't explicitly for marketing, or been able to mold a marketing tool to this purpose?

Thanks any tips,

Mike Kellum

    Thanks for the helpful replies!

Paul, I'll see what Marketo, Pardot, and Predictive Response look like – it's possible someone on our Marketing team would be familiar with one or all of them. I'm interested to know what overriding the opt-out on your emails looks like. Are you fully removing the text from the emails, or just preventing the opt-out from registering with the system?

Buyan, I'm hearing about the same ExactTarget features from our SFF contact. Sounds like it might be a good deal more flexible than our current solution! I appreciate the specificity and research.

I'm looking for a freelancer to take over my editing of Vertical Response emails. You would receive content from us, insert the articles into our format (I can forward a sample to you), proofread, and test. You would not launch emails or be involved with list creation. This work takes me about two hours per email (one every week, a few skips) and as a professional you would probably do it faster! Send interest to Terry@StreetYouthMinistry.org directly for instructions to apply. We plan our newsletters 4 weeks in advance, provide copy 2 weeks in advance, and do copy editing/proofing 1 week in advance. Our publication deadline is every Wednesday (a few skips.) We have a slightly tighter schedule for graphic design because it has to connect to copy. I'm open to including light copy editing and graphic design as well, but it's not required. @Nonprofit and Education Jobs #VerticalResponse @Marketing Communications

HI there!

So I have a custom application object where we intake applications for positions and we need to set up email campaigns to update the person who submitted this position.  Sometimes one person will submit multiple positions.

So you may have Sally who submits

1. Program Director

2. Development Director

The email campaign softwares like #PredictiveResponse work off of the contact and lead object but the information regarding their positions status when they submitted is on the position object.

We could push the relevant information from position to contact, but if they submit multiple positions at one time we would need to have many stage fields, submitted fields, etc to account for them getting updates for all the different positions...

@Billy Daly and I thought maybe we could use leads and create a new lead with each new position created that holds the status, date submitted, etc and then run reports off of that for email campaigns so that way we could have a new lead with each new position.

Would love to hear your thoughts!

And anyone else who may be doing application related things in salesforce! Cheers and happy Friday!

Hi Elizabeth: Yes, that is a challenge. Have you ever used the Process Builder to automate record creation? With Process Builder you can develop a set of criteria based on the Application object and, if met, a campaign member record could be created using the contact lookup on your Application record. The drawbacks are that this solution is a little more technical and the Process would need to be updated each time you added a new position/email campaign. If you think this might work, I'd encourage you to review the Trailhead on Process Builder to familiarize yourself with the tool. https://developer.salesforce.com/trailhead/business_process_automation/process_builder

Looking for other nonprofits who are using Pardot successfully. Want to know if we are a fit for Pardot.

, curious to know what you ultimately concluded about whether your org is a fit for Pardot. Anything you can share about that?

We're taking a close look at Pardot, but also a couple lower-priced marketing automation solutions: Predictive Response and BridgeMail.

As part of a larger ongoing discussion we're having about e-mail opt-out management, I'd be curious to hear from anyone who is sending marketing e-mails (in all of their various forms) to a contact who has multiple affiliations and has a preferences page to address this.

We have accounts/contacts who have multiple e-mail addresses and affiliations which could range from alumni to parent to staff/faculty to student to donor/friend. Right now we're doing all alumni marketing from our alumni portal, and recruiting e-mail via Marketo, so a central solution is preferred.

I need to get my first Salesforce based year end appeal organized. I would like to know how others manage large segmented campaigns with varied criteria and specific exclusions. With past systems I had utility programs to define each group and create segments. In Salesforce could do this with a bunch of reports to create campaigns but that really seems like it is going to get confusing and unwieldy.

Our breakdown goes something like: corporate donors, major donors, donors, lapsed donors, engaged contacts, newsletter subscribers, and various exclusion lists like boards and committees, foundations, open opportunities.

Your thoughts and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

We do reports based on all our constituents. Our goal is to have each contact only appear in one report. The logic to do this gets more and more complex over time as we desire to more and more microsegment. Our logic goes something like this right now:

    Donors TY

    Donors LYBNT

    Donors SYNLT (Lost for now)

    Not Donors but Prayer Team

    Not above but Volunteers

Not above but Have Opened Newsletters in the Past

    Not above but Subscribers (Unengaged)

New Subscribers [which actually creates overlap with some of the above so we have to go manually fix if there are any new subscribers are any of the previous categories]

Each is a standard contact report with conditions on HH donation totals and dates and cross filters on membership in other master campaigns (teams, newsletters) and/or VR email history reports. We add it to a new specific campaign from each report using the "add to campaign button.". We send out using Vertical Response. The overall logics above was to go from "most sticky" to "least sticky" so we could risk giving more info to the more sticky crowd and focus on moving the less sticky contacts up in trust. This helps us avoid unsubscribes, disconnects, and getting marked as SPAM. We track responses back in SF using Vertical Response history. We're dying to upgrade to a native tool that would take care of this complex segmentation, send emails, and have follow-up logic, but that's not what we can afford yet. We've applied to be a grant recipient of what seems to be our dream tool:

#PredictiveResponse. We do use their tool called #CampaignFlow to help maintain the master lists of newsletters and teams.
