#Custom Field0 debatiendo

I have a custom formula field set as a checkbox that has it's filterable attribute set to "false", and I can't figure out why.  All my other custom formula checkbox fields have the filterable attribute set to "true".

On the CustomField developer page it states "Unless otherwise noted, all fields are creatable, filterable, and nillable.", but I can't find any "otherwise notes".  Anyone know what the issue may be?

Thank you.

I guess raise a case, I’ve not heard of this on formula fields before. This feels like expected behavior on long text/rich text, but Booleans?

Is there a way to fill a custom field based on list membership? I've tried using an automation rule but it doesn't give me the option to change a custom field in the completion actions. Am I going about this the right way?

Hello, our organization is currently using Collaborative Forecasts, but our sales team only forecasts on the first-year amount of a subscription contract. I’m able to add that custom field (formula) to the Opportunity list on the Forecast tab, but there is no way to adjust the Amount vs Quota to look at 1st Year Amount vs Quota. (For example, the full Opportunity amount for a 3 year subscription is $3000, but we forecast on only the first year, which would be $1000) Has anyone found a way to adjust this, or create a custom solution, or at the very least a report to show this type of forecast.

Temporary fix is to data load a monthly goal on the user record, coupled with an Opportunity report that can reference this user field. This means we do not use the Forecast tab and we have no historical record of previous monthly quotas.

Potential solution I've been playing with: Create a custom Quota object, then create a joined report between Quotas and Opportunities, with a cross block summary formula to get the % to quota based on the 1st year amount. This still doesn’t feel like an ideal solution.

Any ideas or experience in this area would be very helpful, thank you in advance!

Hi everyone.

I need your suggestion to the scenario I'm facing below:

I have a look up field that references its own custom object (customObject: orders)

In that lookup field I am encountering the CIRCULAR_DEPENDENCY error, since the requirement of the lookup field is it can also reference its own order record.

Do you have any suggestion on how can I avoid CIRCULAR_DEPENDENCY error? Thank you in advance!

Hi guys, I've created a process which on the surface seems to work. Essentially calculating the Aggregate Operation = FIRST, for my field 'Campaign Start Date' which is located on the Opportunity for a lookup on there called Brand (which is an Account).

However, for a few brands we are noticing that the DLRS field I made is not calculating correctly. For example, one of our brands Abbvie is showing my DLRS field (Earliest Start Date) as 22nd Oct 2020. However, when I review the Opportunity Start Date on one of the opps this brand is associated to, it is showing 3rd Jan 2020? I've noticed this mismatch happening with a lot of opportunities associated to this brand.

Any ideas what might be causing this? I've attached the screenshot of my Lookup Summary for reference. Perhaps I'm not specifying something clearly?

Happy to elaborate if need be!

Thanks!

Alright gotcha. I've typed in: Campaign_Start_Date__c ASC NULLS LAST

I've began the Full Calculation so hopefully once complete the figures will be correct! :D

Thank you so much for your assistance on this.

I'm wondering if anyone has had to do this or something similar for their organization. I am hoping to collect state/province/region information but I want to eliminate any typos or variances by using a dropdown list. The only thing is that this will be a form used globally, so state and region options will change depending on the country that is selected.

Is there a way to filter dropdown options based on current country selection? I don't want someone trying to select a state in the US to see the options for Australia, as an example.

In case you can't filter dropdown choices, I tested creating multiple fields specific to each country. The issues I'm running into with this option are:

  1. You can't have two fields on a form mapping to the same Pardot field
  2. You can't have multiple Pardot fields mapping to the same Salesforce field (that I can see)

Would I need to create individual fields in Salesforce and then somehow merge all of those into the state field? Is this even possible?

I'd appreciate any help or guidance on this, thanks in advance!

yes, they are designed to work together. Hopefully when Pardot reactivates the IP auto-fill it takes State & Country picklists into account. The old solution did not align and causes lots of headaches.

Hi all,

Need some help with creating a custom field to calculate holidays count between 2 dates (Start Date and Close Date)

I'm aware you can add holidays in Set up.

Understood. Though I found some references it requires some in-depth coding already lol. We might just stick around with the actual count as it is. Thanks for dropping by.

Hi all,

I'm trying to add a custom field to standard object `Case` in a sandbox with source tracking enabled, and it's failing. I'm getting: An internal server error has occurred

I realize the source tracking in sandboxes is still in beta. Is this something anyone else can reproduce?

If not, could one of the PMs perhaps take a look at my specific sandbox and see what the issue is? It might still be a bug in this new beta feature, in which case I imagine you would want to know about it and fix it before GA.

Thanks,

Frans
