We have this "Email" button embedded within the Activity History section of a page, which we use to send emails to customers. However, upon opening this email option, the "From" email defaults to the employee's personal email (screenshot attached), instead of the shared company email (hello@xxxxx.com)-- and then employees have to remember to manually change this email every time. Where in salesforce can I edit this email option, such that we can change the default email address that we send emails out from? Thank you! #Trailhead #Supportivecommunity #Collaborative

Hello. I'm looking to get the most out of quick cadences for my team. I'm trying to learn how to leverage the cadence step and auto-launched flows, automated emails, automated actions, and canceling flows upon a meaningful connect, or not interested responses.
Has anyone come across recourses to help learn more about these? Thank you!

14 nov 2023, 03:37 Certainly! Quick Cadences in Salesforce can be powerful tools for managing sales outreach effectively. Here are some best practices and resources to help you leverage Quick Cadences, including steps, auto-launched flows, and automation:
Best Practices:
- Understand Your Sales Process:
- Before creating Quick Cadences, have a clear understanding of your sales process and the stages involved. This will help you structure your cadences effectively.
- Segment Your Audience:
- Segment your leads or contacts based on criteria such as industry, location, or engagement level. This allows you to tailor your cadences to specific audience segments.
- Personalize Outreach:
- Personalization is key. Use merge fields to personalize your emails and make them more engaging. Ensure that your messages resonate with the recipient.
- Utilize Different Channels:
- Combine email, phone calls, and other channels in your cadences to create a multi-touch outreach strategy. This can improve your chances of connecting with prospects.
- Set Realistic Timing:
- Adjust the timing between steps in your cadence to align with your sales cycle. Consider factors like the prospect's industry, their typical response time, and your own team's bandwidth.
- Incorporate Automated Actions:
- Use automated actions to update records, create tasks, or trigger other processes as part of your cadence steps. This helps streamline your workflow.
- Leverage Auto-Launched Flows:
- Auto-launched flows can be powerful for automation within your cadences. For example, you can use flows to update records, assign tasks, or send notifications based on specific conditions.
- Monitor and Iterate:
- Regularly monitor the performance of your cadences. Analyze metrics such as open rates, response rates, and conversion rates. Use these insights to iterate and improve your outreach strategy.
Learning Resources:
- Salesforce Trailhead:
- Check out Salesforce Trailhead for modules and trails on Sales Cloud features, including Quick Cadences and automation: Salesforce Trailhead
- Salesforce Documentation:
- Refer to the Salesforce documentation on Quick Cadences and automation features. It provides in-depth information on how to set up and use these tools effectively.
- Online Communities:
- Participate in Salesforce online communities such as the Success Community or Salesforce Stack Exchange. You can learn from others' experiences and get answers to specific questions.
- Webinars and Events:
- Attend Salesforce webinars, virtual events, or local user group meetings. These forums often provide insights into best practices and real-world use cases.
- Consult Salesforce Experts:
- If you have access to Salesforce consultants or experts within your organization, don't hesitate to seek their guidance. They can offer valuable tips and best practices based on their experience.
By combining these best practices with learning resources, you can maximize the effectiveness of Quick Cadences and enhance your team's outreach efforts.
- Understand Your Sales Process:

Did you know a number field in Smart Capture carries a character limit?
It's been a very stressful morning dealing with an intermittent Smart Capture form issue. I wanted to share what happened as this is something you all should be aware of.
I created my Data Extension, created my Smart Capture form, everything was looking great. My field merges were populating and everything was working well in testing. The form has been out there for over a week now and we've had responses coming in. But in the past 12 hours there were a lot of people who could not submit, they fill the form, click the button and nothing happens...UGH
The reason for the issue was a known bug, which I didn't know about. SF you need to communicate this or add a warning in Smart Capture please.
I was collecting Mobile Number in my form using a number field. There is no character limit in the Data Extension, but it seems when you use a number field in a Smart Capture form a character limit of 10 is applied. WTH! Why? We do not know why, but this is a known bug.
The field merge for the Mobile Number worked and the full number was presented, but then they could not submit since it was over the limit. It seems sometimes the form will submit and chop off the additional characters, but other times it does not.
It's fixed now. I created a new text field, switched it out in the form and republishing. This fix took about 5mins, but I have spent all morning investigating this, rebuilding the entire form, switching and testing 100 different solutions none of which worked. If only I had known about this known bug...
20 sept 2023, 13:57 I agree, it would be useful to have a warning message as well as a list of known issues to avoid a lot of time wasted, or problems later on. Problems like this can give a negative view of Marketing Cloud when it could have been avoided at the outset.
