We use person accounts through Education Cloud. I need to update the Type field on the Account object, but all I have is the Contact ID.

1) Any ideas if it's possible through just an import? I've tried with every variation I can think of, but I just don't think the Contact ID is enough to tie it to the Account for an import.

2) I've made a hidden field on the contact record and tried creating a flow to update the Type field anytime the hidden field is updated (we'll just update the hidden field through an import). For some reason, it's not working!

Does anybody have any history of what has worked for them in a situation like this? Thank you in advance!

    @Danielle Landaal

    There are 2 options:

    1. Import your contacts and export those contacts including the the accountId and Type column. Now you can update the Type field because the accountId is available in the sheet.

    2. You can implement an automation flow that if a contact is added (On insert/update) check if the hidden field is not blank. Update the Account where id = contact.AccountId.

    Hope that helps. Thanks

While assigning an Action plan template to a Program, I am encountering the following error : 'select an action plan template whose associated record type is the same as the target object'.

Action plan template has target object selected as 'Program' and template is published.

Has any one encountered similar issue and found a resolution?

Thank you

The Nonprofit Community is showing up at Agentforce World Tour DC (Sprint + Breakfast + Reception)

Registration is live for our next Community Sprint in DC on March 17-18 as part of Agentforce World Tour DC 2025! Our Nonprofit Community is showing up in full force with a sprint, a community breakfast, and a pre-event reception... lots to do!

Join us for two days full of networking, fun, and building Salesforce solutions to help Nonprofits and Schools address common challenges.

👉🏻 What’s a Community Sprint?

Sprints are Salesforce-hosted community innovation events (similar to a hack-a-thon) that are regularly hosted to bring partners, customers, and employee volunteers together to identify, prioritize and build solutions that make using Salesforce more impactful for nonprofit & education organisations.

👉🏻 Why should I join? Sprints are unlike anything else in the Salesforce community. You are encouraged to use your Salesforce and professional skills to collaborate and build Nonprofit and Educatiom community-led app, resources, and solutions. Not to mention they are a super fun way to connect with other local Salesforce users, admins, and developers!

A free ticket to Agentforce World Tour DC (happening Wednesday, March 19) is not required to register for the Sprint, but we encourage you to attend both as we will also be hosting a Community Breakfast at Agentforce World Tour. See you then!
