Hi everyone,

I need to purchase a Salesforce certification exam and require the invoice to include my company name  and tax ID (NIP: XXXXXX) for accounting purposes. However, the billing form only has fields for personal details and address—there are no dedicated fields for company name or tax ID.

Has anyone successfully mapped their company details into the available fields so that the invoice contains all required company information?

If so, which fields did you use for the company name and tax ID?

Any tips or screenshots would be appreciated!

Thank you!

Ok, I have a question that I hope someone here can help me with.  I got a message that say's its from Salesforce it's from "unappliedcash[at]salesforce.com and it was saying they wanted to refund me some money.  It looked sketchy...but when I forwarded the message to my AE, they said it was from billing.  So I sent an email to billing and this unapplied cash email responded again and they want me to provide banking information in the email.....Now...all of this "SCREAMS" phishing, scam, BUT...I did send it to billing at salesforce...so....has anyone else received something like this legit?  It's comes up as E2C AR unapplied cash

Hi,

I have a client for whom certain Accounts are exempt from taxing, even if the product being invoiced has a taxable Tax rule and the tax table is set up with a tax rate for their state.  There is a field on account Tax-Exempt(SBQQ__TaxExempt__c), but the documentation states that it has no effect on billing.

Is there a way to preclude taxing for these customers using the standard tax function in salesforce billing?

Regards,

Dave

#BillingAskAnExpert  I am encountering an error creating Revenue Transactions (REVENUETRANSACTION-101) .  I have a Finance Book, The Finance Book has Financial Periods spanning the Invoice Line start/end dates, the Revenue Legal entity is consistent with the one for the Finance Book.  This is in a recently refreshed full sandbox.  When I look at similar invoices in another sandbox, the Revenue Schedules have Transactions.  What else might cause this error?

Thanks!

Hi Frank - I am encountering the same issue, but when I update the records using dataloader the reference field is still not populated. I also tried creating a new period directly in the org and the reference Id is not populated. Any help on this would be much appreciated.

    Thanks!

Hi All,

Need some help with Salesforce Billing.

Customer wants payment allocation and credit control done within Salesforce. Trouble is they have CC fees, FX charges, currency fluctuations etc. They are not using a payment Gateway.

They want to see this clearly in Salesforce split up as a bank charge/CC fee/Currency fluctuation etc.

Has anyone come across this and how was this handled?

Thanks

Have you tried using Debit Notes for bank charges/CC fees/Currency fluctuation etc?

#BillingAskAnExpert  - Hello Billing Experts - hope you're all well.  I am coming up against an issue when trying to get Revenue Recognition up and running for One-Off type of products.  Upon activation of the order, the Revenue Schedule record against the Order Product gets created but the Revenue Transaction record(s) do not get created.  Instead, an error log is created with the details below:

- Error Origin: RevenueScheduleService

- Summary: Revenue Transaction Creation Error.

- Error Name: REVENUETRANSACTION-101

- Full Error Log: Can't find finance period for the given combination of finance book, legal entity, currency ISO code, and date range.

I have checked the configuration of revenue recognition up and down... but seem unable to find a combination that does not result in the generation of the error log above indicated.

Any assistance/ideas will be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi Frank! I know that, maybe my question was not well expressed! I want to generate records in finance transaction, do I have to make any flow to generate it? or should it be done automatically?

#BillingAskAnExpert Is there any way to auto allocate credit note to invoices. I only see manual allocation.

The only current methods to autoallocate a Credit Note to an Invoice is via Cancel and Rebill, Credit (button on invoice), and Convert Negative Lines.

##CPQAskAnExpert  #BillingAskAnExpert

We are implementing CPQ+Billing for a customer who has a contract with payment gateway provider Verifone for the Veripay gateway.   The solution seems to have a pretty extensive SDK and API.    Has anyone else been able to integrate Salesforce Billing with Verifone for payments processing?

Any advice or should we be looking at something like Chargent to bridge between SF Billing and Veripay?

#CPQAskAnExpert  #BillingAskAnExpert

We are implementing Billing for a customer who has been using CPQ for two years.   In CPQ they have been creating and activating Orders and have been manually entering these into their ERP (Xero) to create invoices there.

We are trying to create catch up invoices for these legacy orders, to invoice them up as if they had always been billed through SF Billing to the last bill through date.

Our problem is the we cannot get an invoice to generate for these existing orders.

To test our setup, we manually recreated the existing order using the exact same account, product and start/end dates and were able to create an invoice.   We checked all the usual fields on the original order that we know the Invoice Scheduler evaluates but no invoice will create.

i.e. Order is Activated, Invoice Batch is included in run, Billing Rule has Generate Invoice= T, Hold Billing is False,Next Billing Date <= Invoice Target Date

There must be something 'under the hood' that invoice scheduler evaluates about the Order and Order Products that we are not seeing that is preventing this invoice from being created.

Thanks @Frank Shapiro , yes it was the Processing Status that was still blank. We were able to invoice once that field was updated
