Hello, does anyone know if there is a way to edit the fields that appear on the Edit Objective screen when creating an Account Plan Objective from the Account Plan?

I've edited the Account Plan Objective layout and I can see the fields I created but only when I navigate to the objective and click edit in the top right corner and not when I click edit objective or add objective.

Thank you!

We have territories and countries under each territory. How do we capture Public Holidays specific to Country under a specific Territory? Should this be done at operating hours or ?

Users are tied to the Primary Territory and some time to a secondary territory. So, anyone in EURAFRIC territory can take up service appointment in any of the countries under Eurafric. And same thing applies to ASIA, Middle East etc.

We want to make sure that we know the public holidays in that country and avoid setting up service Appointments

@Suresh G I'd hang the public holiday on the country's operating hours, not on the big regional territory.

Field Service stores a holiday on an Operating Hours record. The service territory points at those hours, and members inherit them unless that member has different hours of their own. One EURAFRIC territory with one operating hours record means every country under it shares the same closures. A holiday in France would also block Kenya.

I'd make each country its own service territory, under the region if you still want that hierarchy. Give each country its own operating hours and add that country's public holidays there. People stay members of the countries they can actually cover. Primary can be home, and a secondary membership is how someone in the region still picks up work elsewhere.

The service appointment needs to land on the country territory. Scheduling then uses that territory's hours, so the local holiday is unavailable time. Turn on Enhanced Scheduling and Optimization, otherwise the holiday shows on the calendar and the optimizer ignores it.

Personal days are a different record. Those go on the resource's own operating hours, not on the country. If a holiday repeats every year, keep the next occurrence on those operating hours, because scheduling follows the upcoming date.

Hi to all,

Our field service implementation includes several price books per country. On average there are 5 customers per country and around 15 service providers. For each of them we have a price book.

All these price books and of course other data are used to build the briefcase. Please note that having a briefcase with all necessary data is very crucial for our organization because we need to work very often offline.  Even with the unlimited license, due to the size of data we exceed the 400000 records limit. Is it possible to build the briefcase only with the standard price book or we need all catalogues?

Any ideas to reduce records that are repeating like those in price books?

Thank you in advance,

Thanasis

Deepak is right that overlapping briefcase rules quietly inflate your record count, so audit those first before dropping any price books. One thing worth testing is whether technicians actually need every price book entry for their territory, or whether priming only the relevant ones keeps them within limits. If pricing varies per customer, the Standard Price Book alone will not work, unfortunately. You may also want to check whether certain catalogues can be fetched on demand rather than cached offline, assuming connectivity allows it occasionally.

As our org continues to test implementing ESO and the Service Console, it seems that we are having issues with booking appointments when we utilize absence blocks for partial days. If we have a block on a resources schedule say from 8-10am, the book appointment seems to pass on that resource. Not until we manually move an appointment to them does it seem to "open" them to booking. I can book until all resources are full and it will continue to ignore that resource with the absence block. When optimizing, it will move appointments to a resource with a absence on their schedule, just seems the book appointment doesn't see them. Any suggestions?

Sai raises a fair point about the scheduling policy, but there is another angle worth checking. Book Appointment relies on the resource's availability calculation, and partial day absences sometimes confuse it when the absence record lacks the correct start and end times, or sits outside operating hours. Compare the absence block details against what optimization sees. If the times look identical, then the scheduling policy is the culprit. Raising a support case may be the fastest route, since this smells like a known quirk rather than a configuration mistake.

Hello,

We've had a request to be able to copy the data of Phone fields within the mobile app and still maintain the ability to click on them directly to make a call (from iOS and Android). I can get this to work on Android by using a formula field to copy the existing phone number field and put it within a "tel:" hyperlink, allows for copying of the phone number and calling directly.

Unfortunately, that method does not work for iOS. It allows me to click on it directly to call, but I can't copy the data. From what I can see this is just a general limitation of formula fields within the mobile app for iOS, but I just wanted to confirm. I can't move them to just be text fields, as we still need to maintain the ability to click to call. Any additional information would be greatly appreciated.

Deepak's two field idea is sound in principle, but you are right that it gets messy fast when several phone numbers are involved. One option worth testing is a small LWC that renders the number as plain text with a copy icon, while keeping a separate tap target for dialling. That keeps the detail page tidy and sidesteps the iOS formula limitation entirely. More effort than a formula, admittedly, but it solves both needs without cluttering the layout.

Previously, simulator builds of SFS mobile were posted here: https://trailhead.salesforce.com/trailblazer-community/feed/0D5KX00000mkdH50AI

Is there a chance we could get an updated version? (last one was Feb).

Thanks!

Hi everyone,

I’m working on a custom LWC in Salesforce Field Service Mobile and have two related requirements.

1. Trigger LWC JavaScript when Standard Data Sync runs

I have a Work Order in Field Service, and based on that Work Order I need to fetch dynamic data from an external API.

My current flow is roughly:

Work Order → LWC → External API → Build data packet → Download packet → Store in IndexedDB

I would like to know if there is any supported way to trigger/execute my LWC JavaScript automatically when Field Service Mobile’s standard offline data sync runs or completes.

For example:

Field Service Standard Data Sync

          ↓

      Work Order synced

          ↓

   Trigger my LWC JS

          ↓

 Start external API process

Is there a supported Field Service Mobile event, hook, callback, or extension point that allows an LWC JavaScript process to be triggered by the standard data sync?

I am specifically looking for a solution using LWC/JavaScript, without requiring a native SDK if possible.

2. Continue processing when the user closes Field Service Mobile

The external API takes some time to build the data packet. Once the packet is ready, my LWC downloads it and stores it in IndexedDB for offline use.

The problem is that the API processing/download can take a significant amount of time.

Ideally I want:

User starts sync

      ↓

API starts building packet

      ↓

User closes/minimizes Field Service Mobile

      ↓

API continues processing

      ↓

Packet becomes available

      ↓

Packet is downloaded/stored

      ↓

User opens Field Service again

      ↓

LWC detects that the data is ready

I understand that an LWC/Web Worker cannot necessarily remain alive after the mobile application is completely closed, but I’m wondering if there is any Field Service Mobile-specific mechanism that can support this use case.

I have considered using a Web Worker for the API polling/download process, but I understand that a Web Worker is still subject to the mobile WebView lifecycle and may be terminated when the application is closed or suspended.

Questions

  1. Is there a supported way to hook into Field Service Mobile Standard Data Sync from an LWC?
  2. Can an LWC JavaScript process be triggered automatically when offline sync completes?
  3. Is there any supported mechanism for executing JavaScript/background processing when the Field Service Mobile app is closed?
  4. Can a Web Worker be used reliably for this scenario?
  5. Is there a recommended Field Service Mobile architecture for downloading external API data into IndexedDB based on Work Order data?

Any guidance or examples would be greatly appreciated.

To be honest I cannot anwser these questions. I assume it's not possible. The question is, what is your  business requirement to do it?

There is an option in field service mobile settings to automatically change the status of an appointment. Maybe this can be used to trigger your automations.

I have 1 specific user that cannot see the calendar underneath service resource records. I've verified he has the field service resource license, FSL Mobile license, and FSL scheduling license, and the FSL ResourceCalendar VF079_ResourceCalendar permission set - this is exactly the same as other users who have no issues. However for him it just shows up with the Salesforce cloud icon and does not load.

The dev console helped pin it down - the user's account locale was set to English (Ireland, EURO) and after changing to English (Ireland), it worked. Thank you Bruce and Shai.

Dear all,

We are wondering if the following setup is possible with the standard solution :

Is it possible to conditionnally change the color of field FSL__GanttLabel__c on the Service Resource table while it being displayed in the Dispatcher console ?

This field is the description of the service resource in the Field Service dispatcher console’s Gantt chart. This is shown under the service resource’s name in the chart

Cf.

https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/atlas.en-us.field_service_dev.meta/field_service_dev/fsl_custom_fields_object_serviceresource.htm

Is it possible to conditionnally change a technician's Gantt label color in the Dispatcher console ?

Best regards,

Aur

I noticed that the map in the Scheduling Console no longer has the ability to enter addresses. Is there ay functionality to add a "search" feature to it, like the Classic Gantt map had?

Hello @Digbijaya Paikaray the newer Scheduling Console map doesn’t appear to provide the same address search option that was available in the Classic Gantt map.

For now, you’d generally need to use the address on the Service Appointment or another mapping tool to locate a specific address. I don’t believe there’s a standard setting to add the old search box directly to the Scheduling Console map.

If the bigger challenge is routing appointments or leads based on location, territory, rep availability, or other assignment rules, a tool like LeadAngel can handle that broader routing logic outside of the map itself.
