Since the Winter ‘27 release, our weekly Field Service timesheets are generated around 03:00 on Friday instead of late on Friday night. Salesforce support told us this came from background changes to handle Daylight Saving Time, and that the generation time can’t be moved back. Our timesheets run Saturday to Friday.

Our time entries are created by custom Apex when engineers change Service Appointment status (Travelling/Active), using a “current timesheet” lookup on the Service Resource. That lookup is updated whenever a new timesheet is created, so on Friday every engineer’s time goes onto the following week’s sheet.

Has anyone else seen the generation time move since Winter ‘27? Did you find a way to control when timesheets are generated, or did you change your automation to pick the timesheet by date instead?

    @David K  Thanks both, appreciate the suggestions. We’re looking at the code side separately. What I’m really trying to find out is whether anyone else has seen their timesheet generation time change since Winter ‘27. If you have, roughly what time are yours generating now?

Hi All,    I have a require to generate service report in two languages. in one language 3 singatures are needed and for the other only 2 singatures are needed. I am trying to use 1 single template with component visibility filters to hide 1 signature block but when I generate the service report on the SFS mobile app it shows me 2 signatures but requires 3 signatures to proceed further. Has any one tried to do it? any tips or suggestions?

    Have any improvements been implemented regarding this? Or is there some way to work around it?

We're using Field Service with Data Capture forms (DDC flow). When a form is submitted, it closes the Work Order and the related Service Appointment.

Requirement

  • A technician starts a form in the field and pauses it, leaving it partially complete.
  • A back-office analyst has desktop access only. They need to open that paused form with every value the technician already entered, finish it, and submit it from desktop. Submitting should trigger the same Work Order and Service Appointment closure.

Problem

  • The mobile flow supports pause/resume.
  • The desktop DDC flow has no pause/resume. Launching it starts a brand-new run with blank values, so the analyst can't see the technician's partial data.

Questions

  1. Is there a supported way to resume a paused Data Capture session from desktop, or to load the technician's saved values into the desktop flow?
  2. Where is the paused form's data stored (which object or records), and can a flow read it to prefill the desktop run?

    1. There is no native cross-platform feature to resume a mobile-paused Data Capture session directly from the desktop. This limitation exists because mobile pause states live locally within the Field Service mobile app architecture, whereas desktop flows initialize an entirely new interview context. Additionally, the behavior changes based on how the form is launched. Data Capture forms initiated via mobile Quick Actions do not generate a standard Form record and have stricter baseline limitations regarding pause/resume states compared to forms managed directly from the Forms tab.

    2. Because paused flow states and variable values reside strictly within internal Flow Interview variables and device cache structures rather than queryable custom backend objects, they are hidden from the desktop environment.

    To successfully enable a cross-device handoff, you must configure an intermediate persistence mechanism. We recommend writing partial inputs mid-flow to a custom staging object or utilizing custom fields on the parent Work Order or Service Appointment records. This architecture ensures that when a user launches the corresponding desktop flow, it can query those persisted database values and safely prefill the fields to resume the worker's session.

Hi everyone!

I have currently a requirement to navigate the users from a push notification to a LWC. According to this help article, this is possible since the latest winter release

https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_fieldservice_264_mobile_push_lwc.htm&release=264&type=5

We have a record-triggered flow which basically informs via custom notification that the users timesheet was denied. If the tech in FSL App clicks on that notification, it should lead to a LWC which displays the rejected timesheet (so not the standard Timesheet view)

In my flow, I have edited the following in

target page reference

:

{

  "type": "standard__component",

  "attributes": {

    "componentName": "c__timesheetdetail"

  },

  "state": {

    "c__id": "{!

Record.Id

}"

  }

}

timesheetdetail is the name of the LWC I want to navigate. It has lightning__tab in its js-meta.xml file.

I have also set up a lightning component tab in setup as "Timesheet_Tab" and tried this many times.

Both solutions do not work and I fail to understand why. When I test it in sandbox, nothing happens when clicking on the notification.

Am I missing something?

Best regards

Dave

    Sorry to say, but I cannot help here. I would log a case. If everything is right configured, I would check, if the latest SFS App has been installed on the mobile device. In addition pls. check if all permissions has been assigned to the logged in user.

After the Winter 27 update, users are reporting issues in accessing the field service app, on Android mobile devices.

App version: 262.3.23 (latest available, although 264 would be available through beta program).

After entering credentials with our SSO, login fails with

Token Request Error: Invalid_Grant: Authorization Failure

.

Not all users are affected, this seems to happen randomly but we are not able to pin-point the reason.

Recently it is happening to me as well and the problem persists even after trying to revoke all related tokens from the OAuth App list of the user detail page.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? any solution?

Hi community!

I added the 'Create Service Report' lightning action the de Service Appointment Page Layout. This way the back-office user is able to generate a new service report if needed. That part works great.

The 'Service Report Preview' panel has two buttons:

  • Create and Send Service Report
  • Create Service Report

Remove option on Service Report Preview screen to email Service Report immediately

For our scenario we want to remove the first button which triggers the Global Email action after the Service Report is generated. This functionality is unwanted since all e-mail communication from within Salesforce is guided through the Case Feed. Enabling the global email action will cause unwanted side effects in the process of case handling (i.e. Quick Texts, email-to-case). There is no requirement for e-mailing from immediately the preview screen.

Leaving the button in place will likely cause more problems than it would solve.

  • After some documentation diving I was unable to locate a setting or permission for this. Am I missing something here?
  • I tried CSS (from component on Service Appointment page and static resource from Field Service Settings) but was unable to get to the elements on the Service Report Preview panel.
  • I was unable to locate the source of the panel (serviceReportTemplateDataViewer.apexp) to estimate if a modified clone might be an option.

It is annoying because every time a user hits that button a message is thrown that gives the impression that something is missing: "Email isn't set up yet. Ask your admin for help."

SR2.pngHas anyone been able to hide the 'Create and Send Service Report' button?

Thanks for any help!

Regards,

Maarten

    Thanks for the answers and your thoughts.

    We now know that it is not a small adjustment that we missed. For now we have accepted that the button will be there for a while.

Good afternoon, can I create a single service appointment list so that each technician only sees that list with their assigned appointments? From the app, when multiple lists appear and I want only one to appear, thank you very much.

Calling Field Service customers: help shape the future of AI-first work in Salesforce

We're looking for Field Service customers who are curious about letting business users get their work done through an AI interface, instead of navigating the Salesforce UI.

Here's what that could look like:

  • Field service managers overseeing teams of 5 to 30 employees, who can rebalance the day's schedule in a conversation with AI interface when someone calls out sick
  • Executives building their own dashboards to monitor and analyze first time fix trends, without waiting on a report request
  • Dispatchers building their own dispatcher console, or completing their daily work by simply talking to an AI assistant

We'd love to bring a small group of customers in as

design partners

. You'd get an early look, and your real-world workflows would directly shape what we build.

Interested?

Add a comment in this thread and I'll follow up with a DM to share next steps.

Hello, does anyone know if there is a way to edit the fields that appear on the Edit Objective screen when creating an Account Plan Objective from the Account Plan?

I've edited the Account Plan Objective layout and I can see the fields I created but only when I navigate to the objective and click edit in the top right corner and not when I click edit objective or add objective.

Thank you!

We have territories and countries under each territory. How do we capture Public Holidays specific to Country under a specific Territory? Should this be done at operating hours or ?

Users are tied to the Primary Territory and some time to a secondary territory. So, anyone in EURAFRIC territory can take up service appointment in any of the countries under Eurafric. And same thing applies to ASIA, Middle East etc.

We want to make sure that we know the public holidays in that country and avoid setting up service Appointments

    @Suresh G I'd hang the public holiday on the country's operating hours, not on the big regional territory.

    Field Service stores a holiday on an Operating Hours record. The service territory points at those hours, and members inherit them unless that member has different hours of their own. One EURAFRIC territory with one operating hours record means every country under it shares the same closures. A holiday in France would also block Kenya.

    I'd make each country its own service territory, under the region if you still want that hierarchy. Give each country its own operating hours and add that country's public holidays there. People stay members of the countries they can actually cover. Primary can be home, and a secondary membership is how someone in the region still picks up work elsewhere.

    The service appointment needs to land on the country territory. Scheduling then uses that territory's hours, so the local holiday is unavailable time. Turn on Enhanced Scheduling and Optimization, otherwise the holiday shows on the calendar and the optimizer ignores it.

    Personal days are a different record. Those go on the resource's own operating hours, not on the country. If a holiday repeats every year, keep the next occurrence on those operating hours, because scheduling follows the upcoming date.
