#TDX190 discussing

Hey everyone, I thought this might help.  I submitted a case this afternoon, and here are the answers I received:

You will have two opportunities to take exams with us at Bootcamp. This voucher code is for you to schedule your first exam before the bootcamp begins and it can be applied towards any exam you meet the requirements for. You will be able to register for your second exam onsite with the Certification team during bootcamp.

You will receive two voucher codes in mid June to register for additional exams. Those voucher codes are separate from your bootcamp exams.

Thanks,

Stephanie

Hello @Sophie Westbrook, @[@Tricia Austin

I just learned from a friend who attend #TDX19 also that she received her 2 extra exam codes on June 19th.  I did not.  Boo!

I got the exciting Trailhead Tour San Antonio emails that day.  Yay!  See you Friday, but no exam vouchers.

What are the next steps?

Thanks!,

Joseph

https://katiekodes.com/flow-apex-defined-data-types/

Summer '19 brings a new Flow Variable feature:  Apex-Defined Data Types.  But what are they?  The release notes felt a little vague, so I played around and wrote up my findings.  The TL;DR:

  1. Apex-Defined Data Types use a small amount of Apex code to let admins building Flows collect multiple sub-variables into a single outer variable, much like a “Contact” record has a “FirstName” & “LastName” within it.
  2. This makes an admin’s life easier when using “Invocable Apex” in Flows.
  3. This makes a dev’s life easier when building “Invocable Apex” that does “callouts” to 3rd-party “APIs.”

To walk through all of these uses, I wrote step-by-step tutorials to build flows that let you see them in action, including a random silly GIF picker.  Hope it helps, and enjoy the weekend.  Especially if you're decompressing from getting to go to #TDX19, you lucky dog.  https://katiekodes.com/flow-apex-defined-data-types/
