I am trying to setup API gateway for the standalone runtime server I created . We are using gov cloud as Anypoint controlplane and I have addedd this runtime server to Gov cloud anypoint . Standalone version is 4.4.0 .

So my question is do I need to install standalone Mule API or will it be installed by default as part of runtime installation?

    Hi @Renjith Muraleedharan Mriduladevi,

As this question doesn't pertain to MuleSoft training, it would be better to post it in the general forum. You're more likely to find people experienced in working with Government cloud, in case there are any implications from that specific deployment scenario.

But, in general, the Mule Gateway is included as part of the mule 4 runtime. The Mule Gateway starts to enforce policies when you deploy an API proxy through API Manager, or a mule application with the API Autodiscovery global element through Runtime Manager.

I have been assigned to create a Run Book for MuleSoft App Monitoring, Please I need help in this domain.

Thanks

    Hello @Ronald Miller ,

Did you get anything on this topic. if yes, could you please share your findings here in community also?

In mean time i would suggest few points also

we should focus on following points:

    • Incident time and date
    • email notifications occured or not
    • what are the impacs becasue of the incident
    • level of that incident
    • what actions taken
    • who is responsible to fix that incident
    • how its was fixed and time taken to fix it

thes are the few important points you can use.

    Regards,

    Anurag Sharma

a health check API is a separate REST service that is implemented within a microservice component that quickly returns the operational status of the service and an indication of its ability to connect to downstream dependent services.

you can use it to validate the status of a microservice and its dependencies. A health check can assess anything that a microservice needs, including dependencies, system properties, database connections, endpoint connections, and resource availability.

some more relaed articles to get more understanding

    [Adding Translation for English Users]

Question: Does Mulesoft only serve to perform integrations with SAP AND salesforce clients?

Or can I also create and manage my own backend by creating my api from scratch?

Mulesoft replaces nodejs, express and mongodb?

Answer: Mulesoft is used to perform integrations and also to create APIs from scratch.

It doesn't replace MongoDB because it doesn't have a DB server but you can connect to any one you want.

The code is based on xml and java configurations for custom code.

The part that I would replace from nodejs and express is the code that would be dedicated to implementing an http API.
