Tableau User Group board | Southeast New Hampshire

I work for a small community hospital in HR and we are trying to build some dashboards around HR metrics, i.e turnover rate, etc. We are looking to receive some training that won't break the bank.

@Rose MacKenzie The Southeast New Hampshire group on the Forums is inactive (last post was in 2020 and the owner hasn't logged in since 2021). I didn't see a TUG for New Hampshire at usergroups.tableau.com, but someone from the Boston TUG may be able to provide information on trainers in your area. You can contact the leaders of the TUG using the 'Contact Us' at Tableau Boston Tableau User Group.

Please respond if you are interested in sharing your story at an upcoming NH Tableau user group event.  We welcome new as well as veteran TUG participants!

Thank you,

Hi All,

I'm wrapping up my third semester teaching a data visualization class using Tableau at UNH Manchester.  Next week my class will be 'presenting' their final project dashboards and I would love to have a few local Tableau users come in to take a look!

I had a few volunteers come in last fall as well - the format that has worked well is having volunteers go around to use and interact with the student dashboards (rather than sitting through formal presentations); the schedule is to start on Tuesday, December 11th at 5:30pm, ending at 7:30-8pm, but even if you can only come for a portion of that time we'd love to have you.

Let me know if you're interested and I'll send you additional details.

Thanks!!

    Hi Ben,

I posted on behalf of the Data Team Manager in my organization.  I’m not sure on the relocation, but I can connect you with our recruiter.  Is there an email address or phone number she can reach you at directly?  Feel free to email the personal information to me at laurabloom@merchantsfleet.com<mailto:laurabloom@merchantsfleet.com>.  Feel free to attach your resume.

    Thanks!

We are looking for an organization or individual interested in presenting at the next New Hampshire TUG tentatively planned for December.  Or if you have an interesting story but are not ready to share it with the greater community, let us know as well.  Perhaps there will be a date later down the road that might be a better fit.

Please contact me at aackerman@abilis-solutions.com or call me at 207.747.7338 if interested.

Thank you for your continuing support of the New Hampshire Tableau User Group!

Link:  New Hampshire Tableau User Group Tickets, Tue, Sep 25, 2018 at 8:00 AM | Eventbrite

Details:

New Hampshire Tableau User Group

Location: Marriott Courtyard, 1000 Market Street, Portsmouth, NH

A continental breakfast will be included.

Please join us for our NH TUG meeting to build a local New Hampshire based Tableau community, network with peers, and share Business Intelligence experiences, challenges and lessons learned. As a local New England based Tableau partner organizing the NH and ME User Groups, we’ve seen first-hand the value community networking can have in supporting each other as a user group.

Agenda:

8:00 – 9:00 Tableau User Group Community Story: Automated Insights

Paul Butler of Automated insights will discuss how natural language generation (NLG) can solve common communication issues that arise around dashboards. Automated Insights is the creator of Wordsmith, the world’s first self-service NLG platform. Wordsmith for Tableau pairs written analytics with Tableau’s visual analytics, so that analysts can automatically communicate actionable data insights clearly, empowering entire organizations to make better, faster data-driven decisions.

9:00 – 9:30 Networking

Members of the New Hampshire User Group want to build relationships among the community to share challenges and ideas. This time is set aside for people to share challenges and get ideas on how to address them from the community.

Hi there! My name is Erin and I will be leading a Tableau Data Visualization Workshop at WBC Office Suites in Manchester, New Hampshire on Tuesday, July 31 from 5:30-8:30pm. If you’re looking to jumpstart (or reboot!) your Tableau data visualization skills, this hands-on workshop is for you. We'll create a series of visualizations that will demystify Tableau and set you up to incorporate data visualization into your own work.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll be able to:

- Identify which chart types work best for different kinds of data

- Build interactive and dynamic dashboards using Tableau Software

- Leverage visualizations in your own business analytics

- Communicate with stakeholders and customers using data

The event costs $135 and there are a limited number of seats open to the public. Save your spot today and register here!

On my website, you can also find testimonials about my teaching style and information about my approach to data visualization which is rooted in my humanities background in storytelling and design. And of course, if you have any questions, just let me know. I'd be delighted to connect and share more about what we'll cover during this bootcamp.

Thanks so much!

Erin
